InterWrite™ PRS
Now Bundled With Over 2,000 Test Questions From Learning Pathways
New innovative content makes InterWrite PRS eligible for E-Learning
Credits in the United Kingdom
Columbia, MD – July 3, 2006 - GTCO CalComp, Inc., a leader in
interactive technology products for the classroom, announces a new
partnership with Learning Pathways, Ltd., a United Kingdom-based
provider of exciting multimedia and online content. The new partnership
makes over 2,000 engaging test questions and answers available to be
used with GTCO CalComp’s award-winning InterWrite PRS student assessment
product. Under the terms of the partnership, GTCO CalComp has selected
certain Learning Pathways test bank questions focused on Math, Science
and English for Key Stage Areas 1-4 to be included with all InterWrite
PRS systems shipped outside the United States.
InterWrite PRS is an easy-to-use classroom response system where every
student participates in answering interactive questions with remote
control devices. Results are instantly charted and displayed for
real-time student feedback and lesson refinement – allowing teachers to
make the most of their class time. The newest addition to the InterWrite
PRS family, InterWrite PRS RF utilizes the latest in radio-frequency
technology and features a 2-line LCD display that allows students to see
their answers and receive instant notification that they were
successfully transmitted to the teacher. The 16-character display is
also ideal to use for self-paced testing, allowing students to easily
scroll through a series of questions and answer at their own pace. In
addition to multiple choice and true/false questions, teachers now have
a powerful tool that allows them to ask advanced numeric questions with
positive and negative numbers and decimal points.
Learning Pathways focuses on delivering and supporting the use of
reference information and curriculum materials in print, multimedia and
online form. The company’s award-winning Pathways Suite includes a
collection of its assessment products. The Math, Science and English
Suite of assessment content, now included with InterWrite PRS, is
Curriculum Online-approved in the United Kingdom and eligible for
purchase through the E-Learning Credits program.
“We are pleased to announce this partnership with Learning Pathways, one
of the UK’s most respected providers of multimedia and online
interactive educational content,” said Rob Meissner, vice president of
marketing for GTCO CalComp. “By using the thousands of questions
provided by Learning Pathways with our InterWrite PRS student assessment
technology, teachers all over the world will be able to instantly gauge
student comprehension in the classroom and create a truly dynamic
learning environment. We are committed to providing our teachers and
students with the most interactive and engaging set of educational tools
on the market, and our recent partnership with Learning Pathways
continues to move us in that direction.”
