InterWrite PRS
RF Goes Green
InterWrite PRS RF is first student response
system to fully comply with strict RoHS environmental regulations
Columbia, MD – June 1, 2006 - GTCO CalComp announces that its
InterWrite PRS RF product is 100
percent compliant with the upcoming restrictions of hazardous substances
(RoHS) in California and Europe, which is recognized as the new global
environmental standard for electronics. InterWrite PRS’s RoHS compliance
comes months ahead of the July 1, 2006 deadline set by the European
Union and the January 1, 2007 deadline in California. RoHS regulations
govern the amount of Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, Hexavalent Chromium,
Polybrominated Biphenyls and Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers contained
within electronic products. All InterWrite PRS RF products shipped since
January 2006 comply with these guidelines.
InterWrite PRS RF, the most powerful and flexible student response
system on the market, enables students to answer questions and interact
in the classroom with wireless, radio-frequency “clickers.” This
powerful tool, with a 2-Line LCD display, enables educators to ask
advanced numeric questions that include positive and negative numbers,
decimal points, and fractions; in addition to multiple choice, answer
series, multiple correct and even short answer question types. Teachers
and professors can receive instant student feedback, stir classroom
discussion, quickly and easily grade tests and quizzes, generate student
assessment reports and even take attendance.
“As a leading innovator of interactive educational technology, GTCO
CalComp is working diligently to ensure all of our products meet and
exceed environmental regulations around the world. We are pleased to
provide our customers with a superior product in InterWrite PRS RF that
