CalComp, Inc. significantly enhanced the features of their InterWrite Software with the
release today of Version 3.1. InterWrite Software 3.1 comes with a wide range of new
features including handwriting recognition, a virtual keyboard, expanded drawing tools,
USB connectivity for the InterWrite MeetingPad and expanded formats for saving files.
InterWrite Software is the meeting software developed by GTCO CalComp. It allows users to
annotate, highlight and modify presentation materials from the InterWrite MeetingBoard or
from any computer. In addition, the handwritten notes can then be saved and printed or
e-mailed out to those in the meeting or those who could not attend, making meetings more
effective and timely.
The newest InterWrite Software demonstrates our commitment to continue to add
features while maintaining the ease of use and an intuitive interface that sets InterWrite
apart in the industry, says Rob Meissner, VP of Marketing. The software is
designed to allow anyone in a room to pick up a pen and begin interacting with the
MeetingBoard or MeetingPad in a matter of seconds, without any formal training. Its
simple, easy yet very intelligent.
Among the enhancements in Version 3.1 are:
 |
Handwriting recognition
allows users to handwrite notes and then convert them to text and modify them with a
spell-checker and editing feature. |
 |
Virtual keyboard
allows users to enter text from the MeetingBoard or MeetingPad without having to go back
and forth to a computer. |
 |
Expanded drawing tools
provide greater sketching functionality by providing easy drawing of basic shapes. |
 |

 |
MeetingPad USB connectivity
expands connectivity choices for the MeetingPad. |
